I now understand why what goes on in Vegas stays in Vegas. It’s because you can’t get anywhere and if you do, you may never find your way back! Today we followed the back roads from our house to Wheatland. The logical route would have been up HWY 65 but we chose to take the longer route via the back roads which took us through parts of Placer, Sutter, and Yuba counties. We passed some interesting spots as we traveled roads we had not been on before. We passed open fields, creeks, canals, rivers, and lots and lots of walnut orchards.

We have spend a lot of time on the top of Tufa mounds and today was no exception. Today we (Larry, me, Cynthia & Mike) were headed for Gerlach, Nevada to attend an event honoring additional geocachers who have completed the Nevada Delorme Challenge. "The Spot" is a geocache. It was hidden September 1, 2003 along the meandering creek that parallels Twin Oaks Avenue in Citrus Heights. There is this geocache in Maidu Park in Roseville. It's name is "The Multi-Magic Tree Cache". This cache is a multi-cache with a rating of 5/5.
